India can wrap up the ODI series against West Indies today. After an eight-wicket win in Thiruvananthapuram, Shubman Gill's side head to Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium 1-0 up, at a ground where India have a perfect ODI record. West Indies, meanwhile, will be without the man who scored their only hundred of the series.

Injury blow: Justin Greaves ruled out
West Indies opener Justin Greaves is out of today's match with a calf injury. He hurt it while batting in the first ODI, needed treatment several times, and still went on to make a maiden ODI hundred, 101 off 108 balls. He did not field after being dismissed. Greaves is also doubtful for the third ODI in New Chandigarh on 3 October and is not part of the T20I squad.
Losing Greaves means West Indies must rebuild an opening partnership that put on 135 in the first game. John Campbell (62 off 60 in the opener) is set to continue, with his new partner yet to be confirmed.
India probable changes
India are unlikely to tinker much after such a dominant win, but one change is being talked about.
- Mohammed Siraj could come in for Gurnoor Brar. Brar went wicketless in the first ODI, conceding 60 from his 10 overs, and Siraj's new-ball skill could help on a ground where early wickets are vital.
- Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja and debutant Naman Dhir should keep their places as the all-round balance.
- The top five of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad and KL Rahul pick themselves.

Virat Kohli has 253 ODI runs at the Barsapara at an average of 126.50, with centuries in both his innings here (140 and 113). Fresh from an unbeaten 139 in the first ODI, he walks out to bat at one of his favourite grounds.
Pitch report and weather
The Barsapara surface has a reputation as a batting paradise, with true bounce and a quick outfield. Both men's ODIs here have produced 300-plus first-innings totals, so anything under 320 may not be enough. Bowlers have found little help even with the new ball.
Expect temperatures in the mid-30s °C, with a chance of evening thunderstorms. Dew later in the day could again make chasing easier, so the toss matters.
